Why we are "The Ultimate Deck and Patio"
In 1980 deck building was in its infancy and home owners were looking for quality contractors to build, primarily, treated wood decks with treated wood handrails, attractive stairs, and occasionally a planter.I started out with "Hey Keith, can you build me a deck?" and I would say "Yeah, sure. What do you want?" It didn't take people very long to realize that I had a real knack for designing and building decks. From there, home owners grew an interest in brick patios. The first evolution of outdoor entertainment areas soon came after the introduction of deck+patio combos. Then home owners living along Lake Erie asked, "Keith, can you get me down to the water with stairs, or something else?" It quickly bacame known that I was the best person to turn to for major hill or lakefront decks and stairs projects. We tackle extreme and challenging projects when no one else will.
At this point in my career I started to build a lot of decks. In some sub-divisions I built every deck on both sides of the street. Until this point I was operating as a general contractor. This is where I made the total commitment to being the very best in desinging and building outdoor entertainment and living spaces. I wanted to showcase these talents in the company name, so we became Deck Crafters - The Ultimate deck and patio.
